The injection pump is fed by a "charge pump", which is a gear
pump mounted on the back of the injection pump. It is what
gives you fuel pressure on the gauge. I'm betting that if you
were able to get that little pump rebuilt or replaced, your
injection pump would be fine. Now i don't know where to get it
fixed. Possibly a machine shop could mill the cover and you
could get a better fit between the cover and the gears.....
Just some ideas.
