Allan: My baler was an IH 241, and I have rolled up a few bales with the old Farmall 300. Now I wouldn't want to head into high production with the old 300, but it did in a pinch, when other tractors were busy. My 656 had an add on cab, thus it wasn't right tight. Certainly lot better than sitting out in open on cool spring nights during planting season here in Canada. I liked the old open 560 for some jobs and baling was one of them. I didn't bale a lot of hay, just what silos wouldn't hold as haylage. Probably 200 - 300 rolles. I've seen a couple of those new Deeres with cabs, doing round bales. Those cabs are tight but they still had that layer of dust inside.
