I wondered that same thing myself! I think Paul is right. They figured it didn't need gauge. I'm like you, I think there should be a gauge so I added one. Like Paul said, They run to the cool side aanyways! I've run it with lights on and pto engaged and still only get it just barely in the run range! This is during mid 90's weather! And up and down the road! When I finish restore I'll have a chance to really work her! Have fun with your new purchase! I love My old 140! Later! Scott
