I think you're referring to pillow block bearings. They're used to support a rotating shaft. They usually have very close tolerances. Sounds like yours may be worn. To check for a bent shaft I would remove it from the bearings and roll it over a flat surface. If it's bent I would replace it. Your local machine shop can probably make a new shaft from round stock. I would take those pillow block bearings along too and have them check for wear. They may be able to furnish new bearings or tell you what and where to get new ones. Hal
