by: 1) honing the cylinders, 2) having a major league cylinder
re-chroming and 3) using slightly larger rings.

Anybody know what steel grade was used for cylinder liners? If
it is available in block stock, one could always ante up and have
a machine shop mill out new liners. If the shop had automated
equipment they could knock out four cylinders in fairly short
time but it would be expensive.
