I have a 49 Farmall H. The shaft that extends out the front has a hole real close to the end of the shaft and then I see where it looks like there may have also been a hole a bit further back that was later filled-in. When I place the crank on the shaft it looks like if the original hole were still there it would matched the notch in the crank perfectly. Do you know of any reason they would have filled the old hole and made a new one near the end?? It seems a bit odd. Also since the pin is missing what type of pin was used? Is that assembly difficult to remove if I decide to drill a new hole?
