Hi; 'need some help on identifying voltage on a tractor I just bought. It's a 1950 Farmall H. The generator and voltage regulator were removed before I got it, and all the wiring leading to the lights and the the bulb themselves are missing. I see no indication on the starter itself (other than serial #), and wheatering has removed any indications on the coil. How can I tell if I have a 12V or 6V tractor?. Previous owner was starting the motor with a 12V battery, but I worry I could damage the starter if I continue doing this. I plan to restore to a 6V, original condition... Thanks!
