Nat, Of course it has a sprauge, although I guess, it is called a "one-way clutch". All that the hydraulic function serves is to lock it's over-run on de-acceleration while the T/A is in a reduction mode. For all practicable pulling purposes however, the T/A on the low side is still just a mechanical unit and all the torque is still thru that one way clutch. So, loss of hydraulic application (on the low side) would only show up as a loss of "engine braking" and not a loss of actual "pull". Since this man's low T/A is intermittent, it just sounds to me like that sprauge is not grabbing as it sould all the time. Typical sprague failure. That's the way my ol' pee brain understands it, anyway. Allan
