I have a 1997 Ford F-150 with a 4.2L V6, short bed, regular cab, 5spd. Everyone reads that and says you get great mileage. I strugle to get 16 on the highway. If I go over 65 mph to 70, it drops to like 14.5 or 15. I don't want to know what it gets in town driving. So, think it will be the last Ford anyways. Since I can remember, my family has had 8 Ford vehicles. 6 of 8 have had the A/C go out on them, the last my F-150. Just after I replaced it myself, the heater core went out, leaking into the cab. Something like $500 to replace. Good thing I live in Texas.
