I have an 04 GMC Sierra 2500 Crew Cab 4X4 6.0L. Just took a trip from St. Louis MO to Charleston SC pulling a small boat (Aprox 2000#) Running at 80MPH I averaged 12.5-13mpg. If I did 65mph I got as good as 14.7 on the stretch between Augusta GA and Charleston. Empty fuel economy is normally just over 16 highway, and 11 city, somewhere around 14.5 on overall average. I figured I had better speek up for the GM people out there. All the Ford talk is killing me.
