Extended Axels ?????

I have just aquired a 1206. I was looking over the tractor and noticed it has somthing like axel extentions added to the rear axel. I have never seen any thing like this before. I wondered why the tractor was so wide. lol. I was just curious to see what you guys kno about them. They look factory but might be a dealar option. Im not sure. The seral # of the tractor is 13934 if that helps. Well Hope I haven't bored youall to death with this. Thanks for any info fellas.
