oil leak behind rims

I have a 1939 F-20. The problem is oil leaking from behind the rim. The oil is coming from just behind where the rim bolts on. I have looked in my service manuel, but it does not show any packing or oil seal in that location. Can someone help me out on this? Thanks! Mike
