The Cub is probably running out of gas!!! The fuel line isn't a very good place to check fuel flow... remove the 1/8" pipe plug from the bottom of the carburetor that is there for that purpose. Doing it that way will check the carb inlet screen and also make sure the needle is opening as it should. Look for a continuing good flow after the little in the float chamber runs out.
