You should be able to take off .125 pretty easy, if its never been milled before, Try to keep the head plate thickness no thinner than .300. Yeah, Ive seen up to .375 off some heads. but they were the old kerosine heads, they are thicker than the gas heads. Have it checked for cracks first before milling, and keep that thickness in mind, do go beyond .300 thin! Especially if its a 8060 head. Mite be good for 3-5 hp at .125,,, or you could find a 450 gas head and cam to put in it and really wake up your M. The 450 has a higher compression head, bigger ports, and has a cam to match the head. ChadS
