I started working on the countershaft seal. When I took
off the bolts on the bearing retainer, I noticed that it was
cracked in 3 places (the three flanges where the bolts
insert). So now I am going to have to find a
replacement for that. Anyway, I got the bearing retainer
free, but now I am guessing I need to remove the
countershaft nut, which is circular with a large notch on
the end. How do I go about that? Is it threaded? If so,
is it standard or reverse threading?
