scotty: On the Farmall 140 the device on top of valve cover is just a crankcase breather. The oil fill cap is on side to top of governor. Mitch, just in case he is confusing you the A, SA, 100 and 130 all had a hole through the hood, thus that crankcase breathr was piped to above hood and breather-fill cap was on top.
