Terry, An 8" disk should work fine, especially if you have a 3 point hitch set-up on your tractor. The tractor will handle it, and you can still maneuver it in confined areas not to mention transporting. A 7" will also work, but if you have your wheels set at 60" or wider, you may be hard pressed to cover your tracks.
