Right after the axle mount mower came the fast hitch mower meant for the FH Super C, then 200, etc.; Model C-20 or something. The one Loren shows is the Model 100(I think)that is pitmanless-balanced head circa 230, 240. Back in the 60's we had an axle mount on a Super C; a fast hitch one on a FH Super C & a third FH mower for parts. Still have that frame in s.w. Pa. and the FH mower. However somewhere along the way the gearing was changed (probably when tractors had more rpm's) & switching old style mower to new FH frame might lead to a mower that doesn't turn at 540 rpm. I'd suggest finding a C-200 (or whatever) FH mower & use your old axle clamp mower for parts.
