Best way to remove old paint?

Wondering what thoughts are on best way to remove old paint from an H? Looking at the boards seems like sandblasting seems the way to go, remembering reading on the Model A boards a means to remove old paint off parts with use of water and drain cleaner - wondering if paint strippers like you would use on wood would work? Looking for a means that is doable by the weekend hobbist without having to buy tons of equipment. Also wondering how much it would cost to have a "professional" blast and paint an H - ballpark figure. Thanks for all the info and help I have been getting here, Jim
