Finally got into my H transmission.... OUCH!!! the coupler up front is what broke... but.. not a gear or bearing is good in the transmission. the constant mesh gear has 9 teeth left on it, the rest of them are wore out so bad i dont see how it moved. the mainshafts have basically no splines left at all, they are about 1/100th of an inch wide, just enough to somehow let the gears catch a little. the bearings are absolutely shot, also somehow just enough to let things turn. the bull gears and all in back look excellent. SO..... ive got it in my head to rebuild this puppy, though maybe not worth it, i want the learning experience. i am looking for a good source of really good used gears (probably not worth new?) and the bearings. i need it all. lol. any ideas? thanks in advance.
