Grandpa's Cub

My Grandfather purchased a IH/Farmall Cub in the 50's and I am looking to get any information/manuals for it. No one is sure what year it is and I believe it is a 1952 model. I've tried looking up the Serial #, but found nothing. The serial no. on the engine, near the steering case is 170662 - J. Would anyone know how I can find the year and or are there any other serial numbers I should be looking for?
