Rusty is correct, it is a 1953 and the J does indicate that it has a Rockford Clutch. Tractors without the J would indicate that they have an Auburn Clutch.

This suffix was used to indicate which tractor had which clutch, so that the IH Techs at the time would be able to order the correct parts without splitting the tractor to determine which clutch was in it.
