Jim, look into the quality brand-name hydraulic/transmission oils, such as Hy-Tran, John Deere Hy-Gard, or whatever New Holland or Agco call there"s. Pick the cheapest out of that bunch. The name brands trap more condensation and are made for use in the most heavy-duty and high-tech modern powershifts. The most important thing, no matter what brand you choose, is to never mix different brands together. The additives can react, turn to varnish, and stick every valve in the hydraulic system. You hear so many guys claim that they wrecked their Deere by topping it off with Hy-Tran or wrecked their IH by using Hy-Gard, but the real problem was that the Hy-Tran had a bad reaction with the Hy-Gard or whatever else they had in there.
