I have a DT436 that"s doing the same thing. After working a few hours, the engine will die and won"t restart for a while. I",m suspecting a weak charge pump or injection pump. The tolerances in the injection pump especially are so close that as it warms up it changes just enough that it won"t deliver enough fuel. If a line was blocked or had a hole in it somewhere, why would it wait 2 or 3 hours to stop? The injector cooling/return line system is constantly purging the fuel in the pump, so if and air bubble gets in there, it would likely go out the return line without causing the engine to stumble even. Can you see where the return line goes into the fuel tank? Sometimes it enters the tank right where the filler neck is and you can see it flowing when you take off the fuel cap. That flow will probably stop before the engine quits if the charge pump isn"t delivering enough fuel. If it"s the injection pump, then you just need a rebuilt one. Paul
