Hey guys IT'S FIXED!!!!!
I'm not really sure what it was, but I think it was grounding out somewhere. I disassembled and then reassembled very carefully putting black tape where any wiring was close to the housing to try to insulate. I put the coil wire on and held it close to the grounding screw and had a nice blue spark about 1/4" long. Put the mag on the tractor and it turned over 1 or 2 times and then started running. Thanks for all of your help on this one.
