Mick: Both will have adequate hydraulics for a loader. 300 may need an added resovoir for a loader with hydraulic bucket. 504 if both are in good working order should have a bit more lifting power.

You may wish to check also, optional pumps, some have more volume in gpm than others. I've forgotten about these two specific models, but something rings a bell about 9 and 12 gpm pumps for 300 and 12 and 17 gpm for 504. I may be confusing these specs with other IH models.
