Yes it is an open sided. I located the part today with help from you guys, I sure appreciate it. I did decide since I had nothing to loose to try to braize (sp?) it first. It was my first experience with cast and all went well so far. I put it back together and no leaks or seaps as of yet. How did I break it? Well I am not very good at working on things I know nothing about....I noticed a small leak on the end and tried to tighten the nut....the rest is history. I like my drill doctor. I am a mess at sharpening them by hand. The company I work for is to tight to buy *real* bits so I get to use it quite often.
