F-12 comes to life! But still can't hand crank?

After 15 months of rehabilitation, my 1935 F-12 has roared to life in glorious fashion! I did a complete rebuild - pistons, sleeves, etc. One question, if I tow it, it starts within 5 feet. But I still can"t start it via hand crank, what can I do to get it to crank start? Do I need the engine to break in a little more? Is this a weak magento? (I replaced the points, brushes, and condensor)
