Stan: There is a difference, but it's not at time of model change, but rather somewhere between serial numbers 300,000 and 325,000 of Super A. If you notice all A's and early Supers hads steering control arms at each spindle S shaped with a ball on the end. Tyrods had a socket to fit over ball. Later Super A's had automotive type tyrods.

About the same time the vertical shaft in gear box changed from a square taper where steering control arm goes on, to a tapered round shaft with a woodruff key. All this change took place about mid 1951.
