460 Hydraulic problem

Have a rather strange problem with my 460D (this stuff is new to me). Lately, the loader and backhoe are not working as fast or as strong as they used to...At idle the loader or hoe will work fine and lift quite a bit of weight, although it moves very slow. If I throttle up the loader will lose power, actually move down till I let off. When using the hoe, the smaller cylinders are fine, but the larger cylinders can take a few seconds to "spool up" and start moving after pulling the valve open (up or down). Am I ready for a pump? or is there a bypass valve sending the extra pressure back to the pump?
