Couple of Cub questions......

Just got my grandfather's Cub to go with my '46 A. It's serial
number is 233501 which seems to make it an early '69 model.
As I recall the end of the Farmall name was around that time
frame and the Cub is badged an International. The thing about
this Cub is that my grandfather was in possession of it since new
and it has always had the Farmall/International red paint on it.
However from nicks and scratches over the years I have found
that most of the sheet metal is painted International yellow
underneath the International red. This includes the fenders, the
metal around the grill, the fan shroud, the headlights, and even
inside the tool box. So what would be the story on when the
rollover from red to yellow occured on the Cubs and why would
International have delivered it in red if many of the parts were
coming down the line with yellow paint? Were both colors being
produced at the same time? I know it's always been red because
I have a photo of my grandfather with his new Cub and the mule
it replaced. (that's what the Cub was intended for after all) One
other question.......what is the easiest way to install a front hitch
on a Cub? I may end up using it to move a couple of antique
airplanes in and out of their hangar and a front hitch would be
needed. Thanks.
