The "H" should do fine with most square balers. I would think that some of the newer ones would require less horsepower than the older ones. The older balers had wooden slides on the plunger and the plungers of the newer ones are on bearings. To overcome the lack of a live PTO, buy one of those ratchet devices to put on your PTO shaft. They have them at Quality Farm and Fleet.
