thanks again for your help, put in a 12 volt bat, ballast resistor and turned wire on coil, the hood closes and the alt is tucked in just fine, turned bracket upside down, oh, john i did use 10 wire, the alt is only 46.00 at auto conn here in ohio. was a easy job after all, now to do the 300. the old gen off m will spin on bench if you hook the jumper to it, does that mean its good? maybe put it on 300.
