It'll have about as much effect on gas prices as refusing to sell corn or soybeans for a day will have on the overall price of grain.
Hugh has it pretty well nailed in his post. It won't be refusing to BUY gas that will help, it'll be refusing to USE fuel that will make a difference.
The other part of the problem is that some folks seem to think that somehow there should be a way to MAKE fuel prices come down, or as I've heard some say "Get back to where they belong."
We've ended the days of cheap fuel. Even if we use less, it won't become cheaper. Unfortunately, we're about to discover that it hasn't become expensive....yet!
