I got a706 gas ,1964 I paid $4775.00 at a sale got it home dropped a valve 1st day. Tore it down, took engine to a machine shop . Told head was junk,,, block was junk. Bought a used short block that needs overhauled . Bought aset of used 301 pistons for a 806 gas .20+ and a new set of rings. I was told that if I popped the sleeves out and had it bored it would be the same as a 806 and about 85 HP.I have bought a used head needs fixed no valves. The tractor has good sheet metal, Was repainted not to long ago, almost new tires all the way around Rear wheel weights, resent TA rebuild Clam shell fenders, dual hubs, wide front,Fast hitch, Dual PTO, good seat. Was going to trade for a 560 Lp in fair shape, the owner wanted $2000.00 for it but wanted to trade even up . I agreed, But the owner called and said he could not afford to truck the tractors gas cost to much. I was asked what I would take for the tractor straight up? I want to try to get $3000.00 a little over half of what I have invested in it. Is that to much?? Or should I trade for another 560?? Any Help? Thanks.
