I baled 3500 square hay and 800 square straw with my "H" this year. As you can see by all the hits, so have many others. I agree with all that has been said. I would stick to a 60's vintage baler. I have a # 10 Massey Ferguson. These are a cheap baler in my area. Used parts are fairly plentiful. 70's and 80"s balers have more capacity than that. They were made for bigger tractors with bale throwers etc. Make sure your PTO shaft is turning 540 rpm. I checked mine with a line shaft tach and then shifted the governor to get 540. They work that much nicer. You will need to be prepared to miss the odd shift or grind a gear now and then. But "H" will get the job done... on hills too. I pull an 8 ton wagon behind the baler. That makes "H" snort fairly well on a grade.
