Have to hold off on the video just a bit; when I attached a funnel to the gas line to give it continous flow [but still monitor it], it still starts good but run so rich it'll eat a cup or two of gas in less than a minute. I can't even throttle down except to the point of running rough from flooding.
We're looking at the old sidemount 2bolt carburator on a '29 15-30 [22-36]; a little cleanup and maybe float and/or needle valve I've always had these cooperate for me before.
Yet, the float holds the gas at level [it doesn't consume any, like it would for a bad needle valve or seat] when it's not running; just to be sure I tried it low and high too - doesn't matter; though visually I liked the level in my first setting the best.
Choke is all the way open.
Main screw and idle screw are set at 1.5 and 2.5 but essentially no change when screwing either several turns [even to stop] either direction.
I'm thinking air cap, and actually have it soaking; but thought someone here may have insight. Thanks!
On the positive, I was just saving some pictures to a CD and realized I have over 500 pictures of it, offsetting only having one poor video at the moment! :shock:
