There was never a 3/16 pipe fitting, either 1/8 or 1/4". The OD of a 1/8 pipe measures .405"
and 1/4 pipe is .540". I think it would be 1/8 pipe threads since they used 1/4" copper tubing
for the oil line. Take your gauge to NAPA or to any auto parts store will have a compression fitting that goes from tubing to female pipe that
will connect your gauge to the tubing. See if the OD on the gauge fitting is near what I posted
above. I have one of those fittings, but I need to know which size you have. You can have it free. Hal
