Carb Cleaner

What are you guys using for carb cleaner. Years ago I used a cleaner that came in a steel bucket, with a basket inside. That stuff was so potent that if you got a little on your hand it would take off your fingerprints. I bought some cleaner to soak carbs in the other day and it's not much different than diesel fuel or parts cleaner.
Has EPA condemnd all the GOOD stuff, or is there a real strong soaking solution out there somewhere? Gordo
