The only good carb cleaner is one that contains Methylene Chloride. Do not buy it if it doesn"t contain. Berrymans and Napa both have it and yes it is the same stuff that was around years ago. It is pricey pricey though... You will pay at least $70 for a 6 gal pail. It should have a layer of oil on the top to keep the cleaner from evaporating and if you are going to keep it for any length of time, you should add some oil to it. Also, the Methylene Chloride is nasty and will eat the rubber or plastic parts out of your carb, so make sure they are out or don"t use it on a carb where you can"t remove the plastic...oh and by the way.....wear protective gloves....
