Another way to determine pipe size is to measure
the inside diameter of the fitting on your gauge.
If it's 1/4 pipe the hole in the pipe fitting will measure 1/4" in diameter. All pipe sizes are
determined by the diameter of the hole. Its like
using your wrenches, you remove so many nuts and bolts you know which wrench to use and the same is working with pipe and tube fittings. You can glance at a pipe fitting and know the size. Hal
