Yes, it appears to be a separate part. There is also another part which is identified as a shield. It is shown with the top and wing nut as item 11. Item 12, the part I think you are looking for, appears to be a straight sided cylinder on the outside with an inverted cone in the center. It has a "dust level" mark on the outside. It also appears to have a series of moulded-in fins in the bottom for the air to enter. Item 12 is named "body, pre-cleaner" in the parts catalog. This is all shown on page 174 of TC-44B which is the parts catalog I obtained from binder books. As for as checking it's available through CaseIH I am unaware of any website assessible by the public for availability. I would suggest contacting Ken at Carter & Gruenewald Co. who has excellent resources for finding it if still available from CaseIH or in another dealer's inventory. His contact info is 1-866-327-6255 and email at info@cngco.com. A few other possible contacts would be Justin Weber at (618) 783-4102 or (507)434-0876 and Tom Underwood at (785) 749-5231 both of whom deal in NOS IH items. A couple of others who do tractor restorations and seem to know where to obtain things if they don't have them are Ron at Pilot Knob Restorations, (815) 777-0826 and Mark Woods at Mark's Tractors (217) 694-4735. Hope this helps and advise if anything else is needed. Good Luck. Hal

With Ben, anyway, I can tell! He'll be busy working and I’m handing him tools and he says, "give me that..." and I’ve already got it in his hand or "hand me that....."and I’ve got the portable light right where he needed it placed to see. "Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
