Mike: I have 3 different sizes on my tractors. My Super A has 9.5x24 with 5.00x15 on front, 140 has 11.2x24 rear and 5.00x15 front. In both cases those were standard or most common tire used when those tractors were new. I have 12.4x24 rear with 6.00x16 front on my 130. It had 11.2 when new. I can't see these affect speed very much. If you go to 12.4x24 the larger front tires are almost a must, or tractor sits noticably low on front. I don't think I will ever change Super A from what it has now. The larger tire will give better floatation. In the beginning I was afraid 12.4 would noticably affect power. I don't notice much difference.

I have an S tine, 17 shank field cultivator for one point fast hitch. If one lets that cultivator go too deep it will stop any of these little offsets. I will say the 12.4x24 tires have a definate advantage when pulling the cultivator. Plowing with 2x12 plow is the same.
