The other item you watch for is twisted frame. I saw this once and cultivator cut deeper on one side than the other. They had sprung the lift mechanism towing behind a pickup in transport position. I personally would look for an S tine cultivator. I bought both new in my farming days. S tine is a much better cultivator and a lot less on repairs. Vibra shanks probably cost $35. each while S shanks are under $10. You will break more Vibra shanks than S shanks.
