You might have the Blue Ribbon Service handbook, GSS-1024. It is dedicated solely to the Touch Control unit. If you do, on page 16 about 3" down a paragraph states to "never install control valves (48) from the cylinder head end of the block. Alwasys install the cylinder head before installing the control valves". From this statement it appears they are installed from the rockshaft or front of the unit. The exploded views in the handbook really doesn't show the o-rings or quantity needed. You will probably determine this on disassembly. I have never had a touch control unit apart myself.
