Had that happen on my 460 when I had the center section out.Theirs a suction pipe between the pump and where it goes over to the filter it has a gaskett or o ring you might check that.Also you need a good seal on the plate where you put the hyd. filter in.I ended up putting a extra gallon or more in the rear end to get it primed.
