Hi Carp, They smoke on startup, need the either when it gets below 50 degrees and are nosier than you can ever imagine when they are pulling hard. Even so, if you don't want that 310, let me know where it is and I'll come get it, 'cause I've never been so impressed with an IH tractor in all my life when it comes time to work and I've owned a lot of 'em. Bottom line is, if you are just going to use it to putz around with, I'd leave 'er set 'cause you'll hate it. But, if you're after a workhorse, you'd better grab that thing before someone else finds out it's for sale. I bought a brand spankin' new 766 with a 360D in '75; this old 686 with the 310D having 7034 hours a couple of years ago. The 310 impresses me more. A 100 guys told me that it wouldn't handle an 18.5 Vibrashank. Baloney! Couldn't even get 'er to smoke at 5 mph. I just can't say enough good about 'em. Allan
