Yes, the entire fan hub comes off the water pump shaft, 2 ball bearings, spacer and 2 oil seals. The pin can then be driven in (and out the center). On mine, the belt pulley still needed to be pressed off the fan hub. It was difficult to press back on - and even more difficult to line up the pin holes. I don't think the pin needs to go back in - as it is such a tight fit anyway.
