to buy or not to buy

I am looking to buy a 58 farmall cub. It needs some carb. work the seller says. It has 2 new front tires, new rings, and has had the top end rebuilt. Was told that runs good but the carb. loads up and then the tractor stalls out. It comes with disc, plow, road blade, and cultivators. Seller is asking $1000. I know I will need to do some work on it, but if some one could give me so input on whether it is a good buy or not. I appreciate any input alot. thanks, 58 cub
