I'll say it again, your problem is that friggin viton tipped needle valve. Apparently those are not made to the exacting standards of just a few years ago. If you still have the needle valve and seat that you took out, and it is in good visible shape, clean it up with a piece of grade 00 steel wool and try that in your carb.
